According to some people Alaçatı was named after ‘dapple horse’ (‘alaca at’ in Turkish), according to some others after ‘alacık tents’ (a type of tent used in history in Anatolia). Town used to be by seaside in the past, but when there had been an ebb tide inch by inch, there was only a marsh area left behind. After it was drained, viticulture and tobacco farming have left their marks on the region.
In the lands where Greeks had to leave because of the Population Exchange, the ones coming from Thessaloniki, Crete and Kos were settled. I found an opportunity to have a short weekend away just before it gets crowded in Alaçatı, where is the most popular site of late years for its ever increasingly vibrant nighlife, thanks to the venues opened (or renewed) one after another. The company has accomplished different type of construction projects such as construction of villa, business place or housing up to now and plans to open Viento Boutique Hotel for guests which was constructed in Alachati, İzmir in the month of April.
Enver Dündar, General Manager for Fe Metal, stated “ We plan to open Vento Hotel in Alachati, İzmir for service by summer 2014 and we are about to finalize construction process. Following sales operations of construction materials, Fe Metal extends its operations to projects since the year 2000. While continuing with housing project in İzmir, the company is about to open Viento Boutique Hotel, which was constructed in Alachati, in month of April.
Viento Hotel, which will be in service in March, has got 6 rooms with bay windows and 20 rooms in total.
18 of the 25 rooms are standard sized rooms. Also, there are three 30m2 and three 35m2 rooms. In addition, the hotel has got a restored historical townhouse with three rooms.
The hotel offers free tea set for all rooms. Moreover; safe box, multi-channel satallite TV, 4 optional pillow are standard services for all rooms.
Turkish cuisine and fast food options are offered at the in-house Sakız Restaurant which has capacity of 50 people for indoor seating and 60 people for outdoor seating.
Having 7/24 available room service, in the hotel; the services of parking, internet, bicycles, iron and ironing board, large bottle of water, tea and coffee, a concierge are for free, but laundry services and tours require fee. Pets are not accepted in the hotel.
