The Festival of Forgotten Foods aims to regain, and promote worldwide, all the dishes that were cooked in Turkish kitchens during our country’s long history but were not passed down to successive generations and have therefore been forgotten.
The event starts with a special committee observing the local cuisines of the different cultures who lived in the area. Recipes are collected from local people. Following the application of the recipes, these are documented in detail. After that, all written recipes are introduced to various restaurants during our events, street festivals, contests and workshops
